Spotting Scams

by Lorimer Jenkins, y.at/βŒ›πŸš€πŸ’ŽπŸ™Œ

It is one of the hardest things to do as unless you are a professional in every single part of the scam, even then you cannot guarantee that specific part is totally clear.

But what is a scam ? As a lot of people may consider Bitcoin to be a scam from losing money on it, by their logic the stock market is a scam then. My biases aside, a scam is :

to deceive and defraud (someone)

In Crypto scams are everywhere, from the Telegram chats you get randomly added into to the outright rug pulls of projects.

Before i list some helpful tips to not get you scammed, i highly recommend listening to the BBC Podcast

β€œThe Missing Crypto Queen”

By Jamie Bartlett and Georgia Catt

7 tips to not get scammed:

1. Overly confident communities

2. Price never seems to go down

3. Sudden price moon with no news

4. Little info about technical specifications

5. Unofficial exchanges

6. No Crypto news coverage

7. Seemingly too good to be true

7 extremely simple points, but I have saved more money sticking to these point more times than I can remember
